The different pipe dimensions gives different suction line length. Choose a pipe dimension where the flow velocity is between 0,2 to 0,5 m/s. Too low velocity means that air/gas separation will take place and large quantities of air will go into the pump and cause noise and eventually flame failure. Too high velocity will cause too high resistance in the suction line. Pipe sizes smaller than 4mm should be avoided. Results only guidelines!
